'Get the boot', 'Got to go' - Rangers fans call for midfielder to be dropped v Partick

By Richard Parks
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to call for Jason Holt to be axed for Tuesday night’s Scottish Premiership clash against Partick Thistle at Firhill.
The cental midfielder, 24, has been a mainstay of the team in recent months after Graham Dorrans and Ryan Jack suffered serious injuries.
Holt has started 17 consecutive league matches, completing the full 90 minutes in 16 of them, and has been a key man since Graeme Murty took the helm in October.
But supporters want the team shaken up following the demoralising 2-1 defeat to Hibernian on Saturday, when the Light Blues wasted an opportunity to make the title race more competitive following Celtic’s defeat earlier in the day.
Murty has more options in midfield following the January arrivals of Greg Docherty from Hamilton and Sean Goss on loan from QPR, and many fans want to see the duo paired in central midfield for the first time at Firhill.
Criticisms of Holt from Rangers supporters on social media include that he is too “lightweight” and out of form.
