Thomas has been receiving stick from Leicester’s fanbase for some time.

The 24-year-old left-back has struggled for consistent performances so far this season, and put in another poor display in their FA Cup defeat against Southampton last weekend.

However, his mistake on Saturday could prove even more costly, with Leicester in serious trouble, with the threat of back-to-back relegations looming.

As a result, fans were quick to take to X to lambast Thomas, with many calling for the full-back to leave the Foxes.

According to Fotmob on 21 February, the incident that led to Stoke’s equaliser was simply one error in what was a good performance from the defender.

As a result, despite his seemingly good display, it is easy to see why Leicester fans may be furious, with the full-back fumbling two key moments late in the game.

Perhaps the only positive for Rowett’s side is that West Brom were once again defeated, meaning the gap to the Baggies, and to safety, is now closed to one point.

It remains to be seen if Leicester are able to catch the Black Country side over the coming weeks and pull themselves out of the bottom three.
