Gabriel Agbonlahor has tipped Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara to play a big role over the festive period.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley, the former Aston Villa and England striker delivered his verdict after the 29-year-old was pictured training with Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Thiago has only played twice for the Premier League champions since his summer move from Champions League winners Bayern Munich.

The Liverpool Echo report that if the Spain international is able to complete another session on Christmas Day he could be in contention to feature against West Brom on Sunday.
He has been out of action since suffering a knee injury after a tackle from Richarlison in October’s Merseyside derby.
Klopp has been without midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Xhederan Shaqiri at points this season.
Despite this, the Premier League champions have launched an incredible defence of their title and currently sit four points clear at the top.
Asked by Football Insider whether having Thiago potentially back in action this coming weekend is a massive boost, Agbonlahor said: “Yes, definitely, it’s massive to have him back.
“He’s one that they’ve missed.
“I feel that’s going to help Liverpool. There are a lot of games coming up and they’ll want to rest a few players.
“I’m sure he’ll be one that comes into the team because he’s a great player with great experience.
“It’ll be nice for Jurgen Klopp to rest certain players.”
After hosting strugglers West Brom on Sunday, Liverpool travel to Newcastle United next Wednesday.
Then in January, Klopp’s side play six times including an FA Cup third round tie against Aston Villa.
