Gianluigi Donnarumma wants ‘£435,000+ a week to join Man United’
PSG star Gianluigi Donnarumma would want more than £400,000-a-week wages to join Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim’s side have been exploring their goalkeeping options this summer following Andre Onana’s struggles.
Donnarumma has been linked with a move to Man United ahead of his contract expiring in June 2026.
The Telegraph’s James Ducker reported on 30 July United enquired about signing the 26-year-old earlier this summer.
He added that PSG are braced for the Premier League side potentially coming back for Donnarumma once they get their deal for goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier over the line from Lille.
PSG previously offered Donnarumma a contract for less money than his current salary.
The Italy international has spent the past four years with the French champions after joining on a free transfer from AC Milan in 2021.
Manchester City registered their interest in signing Donnarumma this summer, but they have now re-signed James Trafford from Burnley.

Donnarumma would be huge Man United upgrade
This article contains exclusive comment from Stefan Borson, a former financial adviser to Man City.
United have been linked with multiple goalkeepers this summer as they consider making a move to sign Donnarumma.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I would be absolutely amazed at that deal because remember, Donnarumma signed for PSG on a free transfer.
“The chances are he’s on £500,000 a week. Definitely €500,000 (£435,000).
“If you look at the way PSG pay and you look at their total wage bill, there’s no possibility that they signed him on a free transfer for anything less than €500,000 a week.
“He’s going to want the same again. I just can’t see it.
“I think he’d be a very good signing for them if he were prepared to go.
“I think he would be a very sizable upgrade on Onana.
“But as I say, I just don’t see it.”

Ruben Amorim has changed his mind on Kobbie Mainoo transfer
In terms of other transfer activity at Old Trafford, Football Insider revealed on 3 August Kobbie Mainoo is likely to stay at United despite interest from the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham.
Amorim was not initially convinced by the England international, but he’s been won over by his performances in training and now values him as a key member of his squad.
The 20-year-old endured an injury-hit 2024-25 season, where he registered just two goals and one assist in 37 appearances.
