Because of the SFA’s appeals process, Naismith is set to play for Hearts against Hibernian on Wednesday night, but would miss their last game of the season and first next season if he is banned.
Naismith spent five years at Ibrox, from 2007 to 2012, and became a firm favourite with fans despite a serious of injuries which kept him out of action for long spells.

The relationship between the player and the fans was damaged in the summer of 2012 though, when Naismith left the Ibrox club after their liquidation and subsequent relegation to the second division, and the club received no money from his departure.
