Glen Kamara tipped for Rangers exit amid ‘massive’ claim – expert

There is a “massive chance” Glen Kamara could leave Rangers this season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton suggested Kamara’s future at Ibrox is “on the borderline” and there is an equal chance that he could remain in Glasgow next season.

Kamara’s current contract runs until 2025 after he signed an extension in 2021.

But as quoted by The Herald (31 May), Light Blues boss Michael Beale said the midfielder will either be at Rangers “for a considerable future” or the Glasgow club will look to move him on this summer.

The Finland international made 35 appearances for the Gers across all competitions this season and scored one goal and provided one assist in those outings.

When asked where he sees Kamara’s future, Hutton told Football Insider:He has definitely fallen down the pecking order.

This is a player that Michael Beale really likes, especially from his previous time as well.

I think he has got a lot to offer but he has not been at his best. But you can put that down to the fact that he has not had the minutes he has probably needed to get there.

He is probably another one that Michael Beale will want to give a pre-season to and see if he can get the best out of him. If not then he will look to move him on.

But he is probably one right on the borderline. He could stay but there is massive chance that he could be leaving as well.”
