Valencia striker Rafa Mir has jetted into the UK for a medical at Wolves on Wednesday, according to a reliable journalist.
Freelance reporter Tim Nash, formerly of the Express and Star, claimed on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday that Wolves have agreed a fee with Valencia worth between £1.5million and £2million for Mir, 20, and he is now in the West Midlands to put the finish touches to his switch to Molineux.

The Express and Star has earlier reported that the Spanish forward has agreed terms to a four-and-a-half year deal with the Championship leaders and that Real Madrid had been interested in him.
The goalscoring colossus, who stands at 6ft 2in, has been in hot form for Valencia’s reserve team this season in the third tier of Spanish senior football.
In 19 league appearances, Mir has netted a stunning 15 times for Valencia Mestalla this term.
Football Insider verdict
Wolves definitely need a striker this month and to get one in who was wanted by Real Madrid is a massive boost and just goes to show how much of a grip Jorge Mendes has on Fosun and his clients. Mir is a really exciting talent and for such a cheap fee it’s odd how no one in the Premier League, or even some of the top Championship sides, have not bothered Wolves too much in the pursuit of him. He’s big, athletic and has a real eye for goal, meaning he has a great future ahead. Leo Bonatini has not been as prolific as of late so Nuno Espirito Santo really needs a solid back-up option. Mir is exactly that.
