Le Tissier tips 50-year-old to be the first Premier League manager sacked this season
Graham Potter could be the first Premier League manager to be sacked in the new season after a difficult summer.
That is the view of former Southampton and England star Matt Le Tissier, who told Football Insider that the Hammers have shown in the past they are not “particularly patient” with their managers.
Graham Potter arrived at West Ham last term after former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui was relieved of his duties.

And whilst the ex-Chelsea manager, 50, was not expected to immediately improve results, the lack of improvement in performances was a concern.
The Irons won two of their last three games to end the season, boosting them up to a 14th-placed finish, but after a difficult summer window, concerns remain.
West Ham fail to improve in key areas
This article contains exclusive comment from former Southampton and England striker Matt Le Tissier.
Jean-Clair Todibo and El Hadji Malick Diouf have both arrived at West Ham for fees this summer, whilst Callum Wilson and Kyle Walker-Peters joined on free transfers.
But the Irons are still without a new goalkeeper and Mohamed Kudus has not been replaced after his cross-town move to Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Le Tissier tipped Potter to be one of the first Premier League managers to be sacked this year, if results from last season carried on into the 2025/26 campaign.

He said: “Graham Potter, if West Ham start badly, I think he’ll be under pressure quite early, I really do.
“He hasn’t pulled up trees; he’s obviously lost Kudus as well.
“It’s gonna be tough for him. That West Ham team, you would imagine being in that zone from 10th down to 16th, that kind of area.
“And if they have a poor start, West Ham aren’t renowned for being particularly patient with their managers.”
West Ham set asking price for Man City target Lucas Paqueta
Potter’s side have just one week at the time of writing until their Premier League campaign kicks off.
But with time running out, there is still a lack of clarity on the future of one of their star midfielders.

Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider that West Ham will accept a bid of £45million for Lucas Paqueta from Man City.
Potter would be open to letting the Brazilian go so that the funds from his exit can be used to bolster other areas of his squad.
