Graham Potter ‘interested’ in landing ‘exciting’ West Ham job
Graham Potter would be interested in taking over as West Ham manager if the club decide to sack Julen Lopetegui.
That is the view of finance expert Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider the former Chelsea boss would be a “sensible” appointment at the London Stadium.
There was an initial expectation Lopetegui, 58, would be sacked following the 3-1 defeat to Leicester City amid pressure from the fans and a reported bust-up with defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
But the Spaniard has been given one more chance to save his job as West Ham face his former club Wolves at home on Monday.
Football Insider revealed on 6 December Potter, 49, is the clear frontrunner to take over at the London Stadium if the club’s hierarchy decide to sack Lopetegui.
West Ham currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, having lost seven of their opening 14 games of the campaign.
West Ham are ‘exciting’ proposition for potential new manager
Borson believes the West Ham job would be an “exciting” proposition for a new manager given the size of the club and the quality of some of the players.
“Graham Potter sounds like a sensible appointment,” Borson told Football Insider.
“I assume he would be quite interested.

“I think West Ham is quite an interesting proposition for a manager given the size of the club, the size of the ground and the quality of players they have got in the first team.
“They have got some issues, but outside of the top eight, it’s quite an exciting proposition I would say.”
