Graham Roberts has raved about Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen after he scored a hat-trick to book Denmark’s spot in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Eriksen, 25, destroyed the Republic of Ireland’s hopes of qualifying for next summer’s tournament as he scored a trio of goals in a 5-1 win during the second leg of the play-off in Dublin.
Former Spurs player Roberts was blown away by the playmaker’s performance, but has now challenged him to continue that form when Premier League action resumes this weekend.
Tottenham face bitter North London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates in what will no doubt be a feisty affair on Saturday, and Roberts has made it clear that he hopes Eriksen is on form once more.
“Incredible, incredible player the man Christian Eriksen and he’s ours! Deserves to be at a World Cup, now do it at the weekend,” he said on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night.

Eriksen has been in top form for Spurs this season, playing a major role in helping them qualify or the last-16 of the Champions League when they beat Real Madrid 3-1 at Wembley last month.
The Denmark international has made 15 appearances across all competitions this term, scoring four goals and supplying four assists in the process.
His hat-trick against the Republic of Ireland took his goal record for Denmark up to 21 strikes in 75 caps, and it would not be a shock if that record was to keep rising in the future as the ex-Ajax ace seems to get better and better each year.
In other Tottenham news, ex-Arsenal player Charlie Nicholas believes this Spurs star was left frustrated by his team-mates.
