Graham Roberts delivers Twitter verdict as Tottenham edge past Crystal Palace

Graham Roberts has heaped praise on Tottenham after they earned a priceless 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace to keep their Premier League title hopes alive.
Christian Eriksen struck in the 78th minute to secure all three points with a sublime long-range effort that flew past goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey into the bottom corner of his goal.
Ex-Spurs star Roberts revealed on his personal Twitter account that he was “proud” of his old side, after stating it was “never easy” after their FA Cup semi-final loss to Chelsea on Saturday.

Sam Allardyce’s side had lined up with the mentality of frustrating Tottenham and they were close to completing that task against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
However, Denmark international Eriksen changed that by stroking the ball into the back of the net to take his season tally to 12 goals.

The win sees Spurs cancel out Chelsea’s 4-2 win against Southampton on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge, reducing the gap at the top of the Premier League back to four points.
Pochettino will now be hoping his side can see of north London rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Sunday, as well as hoping Chelsea slip up in Merseyside as they travel to face Everton.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs have cancelled the contract of this defender.
