Graham Roberts destroys Tottenham on Twitter after loss v Man City

Graham Roberts labeled Tottenham’s performance against Manchester City ‘unacceptable’ as they slumped to a 4-1 defeat.

The Spurs favourite posted his thoughts on Twitter immediately following the game, and thought that every player underperformed on Saturday.

Roberts continued revealing the manager knew how bad the performance was and that the team need to all take responsibility for disappointing result.

Manchester City took the lead in the 14th minute through Ilkay Gundogan but had to wait until the second-half to make the game comfortable.

Kevin de Bruyne scored Manchester City’s second goal with Raheem Sterling then grabbing a brace to make it 4-0.

Christian Eriksen grabbed his fifth league goal of the season to get Spurs a consolation goal and make it 4-1.

Manchester City’s win could have been greater as Gabriel Jesus had an opportunity to score from a penalty, but missed and Sterling blazed the rebound over when it seemed easier to score.

The 4-1 defeat leaves Spurs, 21 points off Manchester City, who sit atop of the Premier League and two points off Arsenal in fourth place.

The Manchester City defeat also ended Tottenham’s recent winning run after they beat Brighton and Stoke City back-to-back.

Spurs are next in action against fourth placed Burnley at Turf Moor.
