'Out his depth', 'Never a Rangers man' - Gers fans slam midfielder display v Dundee

Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty has quickly become a favourite of the Gers support – but they were not at all happy with his performance against Dundee on Saturday.

The midfielder struggled to influence the game before being substituted after an hour as Gers boss Graeme Murty introduced Andy Halliday.

With an Old Firm Scottish Cup semi-final next up for the Light Blues, Gers fans were less than impressed with the 21-year-old’s performance in the 4-0 win over Neil McCann’s side.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

The Scotland Under-21 joined the Gers from Hamilton in January and made a bright start to his Ibrox career but has been off the boil a little in recent games as the Light Blues have strugged to pick up wins.

Docherty will be hoping his performance doesn’t take him out of contention for a place in Murty’s starting XI next weekend with the likes of Sean Goss and Jordan Rossiter potential replacements.
