Guillem Balague responds to shock Marcus Rashford to Man United return rumours
Guillem Balague has set the record straight on where Marcus Rashford currently stands at Barcelona.
Rashford joined Barcelona on a season-long loan during the summer transfer window, after Ruben Amorim included the forward in Man United’s “bomb squad”.
The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, as Amorim does not see a future for Rashford at Old Trafford.
However, Rashford was seemingly faced with a Man United return after the Barcelona hierarchy expressed concerns over his start to life at the club.

Marcus Rashford to stay at Barcelona
Yet in response to that new, posting on X [7 September], Balague is certain that Rashford will not be sent back to Man United despite his underwhelming start to life in Spain.
Balague posted: “Absolutely rubbish that Barcelona is planning to end up early Marcus Rashford loan deal.
“Barca told his representative that they have a lot of confidence in Rashford’s potential and that they believe he will recover as a top player.
“No more to say.”
Marcus Rashford still needs to improve Barcelona form
Football Insider Verdict
Following a difficult time at Man United since Amorim’s arrival, Rashford needs to settle at a club that believe in his abilities.
Being sent back to Man United early in his Barcelona loan agreement would have done little favours to the player, and Amorim.

Amorim will want Barcelona to sign Rashford on a permanent deal next summer, as otherwise he is left with a player he has no intention of utilising.
Rashford has not yet nailed down a position in the Barcelona side, or registered a goal or assist, but it has only been three games into the La Liga season.
It was unlikely that in a team packed with talent that Rashford was going to star for Barcelona straight away, though Hansi Flick will be expecting more from England international as the games progress.
