Tottenham have completed the £12million signing of Swansea striker Fernando Llorente, according to Guillem Balague.
Sky Sports’ Spanish expert Balague claimed on his personal Twitter account that Spurs have landed the 32-year-old striker, with just hours remaining in the summer transfer window.
It is said that 24-time Spain international Llorente will put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side, as well as the option of a third year.

The Guardian reported earlier on Thursday’s transfer deadline day that Spurs were looking to blow Premier League rivals Chelsea out of the water to land Llorente.
Now, the former Athletic Bilbao and Juventus target man has put pen to paper with Tottenham according to Balague after starring for the Swans in last season’s fight against relegation.
Yet to feature for Paul Clement’s side this season, Llorente scored 15 goals in 33 Premier League encounters last time around and that has seen Spurs decide to lure him to north London.
Spurs have been after a new striker this summer after Holland international Vincent Janssen has failed to make an impact as Harry Kane’s back-up, since joining the club last summer.
He managed just two Premier League goals all season and is now likely to be pushed further down the pecking order following the signing of Llorente.
Football Insider verdict
The signing of Llorente will come as a huge boost to Spurs fans as they finally add the missing piece to their jigsaw in the search for Premier League glory. Last season, when Kane become unavailable due to injury, Spurs struggled to find their feet in the top tier of English football which eventually proved costly in their title race alongside Chelsea. Getting one over the Blues comes as a huge signal of intent from Pochettino’s side, with Llorente adding experience to a young side that should be at in the mix for the title come May 2018. However, Llorente’s arrival should spell the end of Janssen’s stay at Tottenham, after a dismal first season with the north London outfit.
In other Tottenham transfer news, Spurs have reportedly made a huge decision on the future of this playmaker.
