Hackett blasts 'prejudiced' Xhaka and tells Arsenal star to 'live with it'
Keith Hackett has claimed Arsenal have a major “problem” with Granit Xhaka after he questioned the integrity of Premier League officials.
That is the view of the former head of the PGMOL Keith Hackett, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Xhaka’s reputation.
The 28-year-old received the fourth red card of his Arsenal career against Man City just before the international break.
As quoted by Football 365 on September 1, the midfielder questioned whether he was “prejudiced against”.
Asked for his assessment of Xhaka’s claim, Hackett told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Here’s the answer to that question, and I don’t know the exact facts, but how many of those red cards did he appeal and how many did he win?
“If I’m going in to referee a football match with him then yes, make no mistake, I am going to have one eye on him.

“He builds his own reputation. I don’t think anybody in the game doesn’t like strong challenges. We want players to play but he’s got to understand that he’s got a duty of care towards his appointment.
“What he has done and what he continues to do is against the laws of the game. You build your reputation and you have to live with it.
“Don’t question the integrity of the game and the officials. This is about his responsibility to operate within the laws.
“If he doesn’t realise by now with the number of red cards that he’s got then he’s got a problem and Arsenal have a problem.”
