Hadi Sacko delivers verdict on Leeds draw v Aston Villa

By Emma Sanders

Hadi Sacko claimed Leeds were “unlucky” not to pick up all three points during the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Thursday evening and feels they “deserved better.”

The attacker admitted his side should have taken a few great chances on goal towards the end but he thanked Leeds fans for their continued support.

Sacko included a sad face emoticon as part of his verdict on the game which he posted in a message on his official Twitter account just hours after the game ended in a draw.

Leeds have picked up 10 points from their last four games after securing three wins and a draw, and they now sit in fourth place in the Championship table going into the new year.

Garry Monk’s side have delivered some terrific performances in recent weeks and Sacko has been a major part of the team’s offence.

The 22-year-old has already made 27 appearances for Leeds this season in all competitions and scored his second goal of the league campaign in the 4-1 victory against Preston on Monday.

The Frenchman is currently on loan from Bordeaux until the summer and it remains to be seen whether Leeds will look to make the move permanent in January.

In other Leeds news, the club should sign this ex-England ace in January.
