Amid mounting speculation over his future, Esteve shared a heartfelt message with Burnley fans, posting a season highlights montage on social media with a caption that read:
“Where we deserved to be!
“An incredible season, centurions, the record for clean sheets, goals conceded, and above all the return to the Premier League that we had promised you.

The post received plenty of reactions, with former Burnley winger Wilson Odobert and CJ Egan-Riley among those to like the video, while Hannibal Mejbri commented: “You’re too strong (translated from French).”
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed that Everton are targeting Esteve as a potential replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite.
The Toffees centre-back is yet to commit to a new deal, and with interest from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid continuing to grow, Everton appear to be preparing a contingency plan.
