Aston Villa fans are desperate to see their club sell Jordan Amavi on Twitter after a report claimed he was attracting interest from Spain.

French newspaper L’Équipe claim La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are eyeing a move for the 23-year-old, with Real Madrid closing in on the signing of Theo Hernandez.

It is believed that Diego Simeone’s side have opened talks over a £10million move for Amavi, while Italian side Napoli also said to be interested in the former Nice defender.

French defender Amavi has struggled to be Steve Bruce’s first-choice left-back this season, following the Janaury signing of former Swansea defender Neil Taylor.

Aston Villa fans have urged their club to cash in on the Midlands giants’ number 23, who has a contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2020.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Since his move to the Midlands in the summer of 2015, Amavi has made 48 appearances in all competitions for managers such as Remi Garde, Roberto Di Matteo and Tim Sherwood.

Amavi, who can also play on the left side of midfield, is now likely to leave in the summer as Bruce looks to orchestrate a reshuffle of his current squad.

In other Aston Villa transfer news, Keith Wyness has confirmed that talks have been held over the possibility of signing this Premier League captain.
