Harry Kane backed to quit Tottenham and sign for Man United – pundit
Frank McAvennie has insisted Tottenham Harry Kane will choose Man United over Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said Kane won’t move to PSG for the same reason he won’t join Man City – he doesn’t suit their style of play.
The 29-year-old is set to be the subject of major transfer interest this summer when he will enter the final 12 months of his Tottenham contract.
Man United have been heavily linked with the England international as they look to sign a proven number nine in the upcoming window.
According to French outlet Le Parisien (19 April), PSG are hoping to sign Kane this summer and are said to have put him at the top of their transfer list this summer.
The Ligue Un giants are keen to have the Tottenham star to play alongside Kylian Mbappe.
McAvennie doesn’t think Paris is the right destination for the forward.
“They’ve got Mbappe, Neymar and [Lional] Messi, I do not know where Harry would fit into that system,” he told Football Insider.
“I do not think he is the kind of player that can do the tippy tappy stuff. We saw at the World Cup that that is not his game.

“That is what PSG do, I can also tell you this also why Man City is not his club.
“From what I know, Harry Kane would be ideal for Man United, they need a number nine plain and simple. I can see it definitely happening, him leaving Spurs for United”.
