Harry Kane delivers verdict on new Tottenham away kit
By Danny Wright
Harry Kane has revealed that he is impressed with the way the new Tottenham away kit looks ahead of the new campaign.
The 23-year-old shared a picture of himself on Twitter modelling the navy blue Nike kit with a new look badge, which Spurs will wear on their adventures for the 2017/18 season.
The image shows Kane donning the strip on a billboard at the site of Spurs’ new stadium.
He took to his personal Twitter account on Saturday morning to deliver his verdict on the shirt after Spurs revealed their home kit for next season.
“Away kit looks decent too,” he said.
Kane proved to be the main man in Mauricio Pochettino’s team last season, as Tottenham achieved their highest ever finish in the Premier League as they came runners-up to Chelsea.
Spurs kept the pressure on the title champions for most of the back part of the campaign, with Kane firing on all cylinders and winning the golden boot with 29 goals in 30 appearances.
The striker missed large chunks of the season due to injury problems, with his spell on the sidelines in September and October proving most costly as Spurs won just two of their league five games in his absence.
Vincent Janssen was bought in last summer to provide back-up to Kane, but his poor showing in front of goal led to Pochettino utilising Son Heung-min as a striker when possible.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs are battling one of their London rivals for this Bundesliga forward, who could solve the Janssen problem.
