Harry Kane sends ‘big’ message to Jarrod Bowen & Anthony Gordon

Harry Kane congratulated his four England teammates for scoring their first goals for the Three Lions during the 5-0 thrashing of Ireland.

Conor Gallagher, Jarrod Bowen, Anthony Gordon, and Taylor Harwood-Bellis all opened their accounts for England in an emphatic second-half display that saw Lee Carsley’s side score five goals in 45 minutes.

Kane kickstarted the proceedings with his 69th goal for England from the penalty spot after Jude Bellingham was brought down, with Liam Scales being sent off as a result.

The Three Lions then went on to dominate as they secured a first-place finish in Group 2 of the Nations League.

England guaranteed promotion back to League A of the Nations League when the competition returns after winning five of their six group matches.

The victory also ended Carsley’s interim spell in charge of the team, as he is now set to be replaced by Thomas Tuchel in January.

Harry Kane has been critical of England teammates this camp

The positive messages from Kane showcase a change in spirit from the England captain, who hit out at his teammates for pulling out of the most recent camp.

Kane is typically a positive person, but he showcased a more ruthless side to himself when reacting to the fact that nine players withdrew from England duty.

The striker was open about his feeling that the time of the season had been “taken advantage of” while also stating that he thinks playing for his country comes above any club scenario.
