Harry Kane sends Twitter message to Tottenham fans after win v Hull

Tottenham goalscorer Harry Kane admits he is ‘proud’ to have won the Premier League Golden Boot award for the second consecutive season.
The 23-year-old took to his personal Twitter account following the astonishing 7-1 victory over relegated Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Sunday to air his delight at finishing as the league’s top goalscorer.

He said: “So proud to win this beauty again! Thanks to the team for helping me achieve this! Perfect week to finish the season.”
His passionate message to fans, which included a picture of himself holding the award, also applauded the work of his Tottenham team-mates in helping him achieving the accolade.
Kane finished the season with an incredible 29 goals from just 30 league appearances, netting seven goals from his last two matches to cruise home in the race for the Golden Boot.

He scored a stunning four goals during the 6-1 win at Leicester on Thursday night, before netting his fifth hat-trick of the season in the final day win over Hull.
With just two remaining, the England international was trailing Everton’s Romelu Lukaku by two goals, but a stunning end of season display from Kane ensured he finished four goals clear of his rival.
Kane scored a further six goals in other competitions, taking his overall tally for the season up to 35 goals from 38 appearances.
