Harry Kane to be offered ‘all the money in the world’ amid Man United update – expert

Harry Kane will turn down the chance to sign for Man United this summer.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the striker’s future.

According to The Athletic‘s Laurie Whitwell (28 March), Man United want to sign Kane this summer, regardless of who their new manager is.

It is said that super-agent Jorge Mendes is already scouring Europe for Spurs to find a potential replacement for the 28-year-old England captain.

However, Kenny claims Kane will turn down a switch to Old Trafford even if Man United offer him “all the money in the world”.

“Harry Kane wants trophies, it’s that simple,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Man United are not in a position to win trophies. They could throw all the money in the world at him, they probably will, it’s not happening.

“The only clubs who are guaranteed to win trophies are Liverpool and Man City.

“He won’t go to Liverpool and I don’t know if Man City are still interested.

“I think the time for a big move has passed. Man United are probably five really good years away from being up there with City and Liverpool.

“Kane probably only has five years left at the top, top level so it would be a huge risk for him.

“I just don’t see it.”

Man United’s last piece of silverware came in 2017 when Jose Mourinho lifted a League Cup and Europa League double.

Kane’s Tottenham currently lead the Red Devils by one place and one point in the race for Champions League qualification.
