Harry Maguire: Man United ‘dishevelled’ and ‘a mess’ after ‘worrying’ reveal

Harry Maguire’s form at Man United is “a big worry”, according to Kevin Phillips.

The 2000 European Golden Shoe winner, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Red Devils are “a bit of a mess” when discussing Maguire, 28, and his teammates.

Maguire produced a far from convincing display on Saturday as Man United lost further ground in the race for the top four after a 1-1 draw with Southampton.

Saints striker Armando Broja tormented United’s captain throughout the 90 minutes.

Phillips claimed the team “looked dishevelled and all over the place” on Saturday.

“Maguire’s form has become a big worry,” he told Football Insider.

“I saw the game and he left a bit on Broja at the end. Only the player knows if he did that deliberately on not. It boils over from frustration.

“It’s a tough time for Maguire and a fair few others at the minute. It’s a bit of a mess.

“You can tell by the players’ reaction to the referee yesterday that something’s not right. It’s not a Manchester United team that we are used to seeing. They look dishevelled and all over the place.

“I fear it’s going to be like that until the end of the season. It’s going to take a while to get them back to where they used to be.”

In other news, a pundit has claimed Cristiano Ronaldo could quit Man United in the summer as the club prepare to make a ‘huge decision’.
