Harry Redknapp slammed as ‘bitter’ after his Thomas Tuchel reaction live on air
England fans have labelled former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp a “dinosaur” after his comments on the managerial situation.
According to The Times, former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is set to be announced as the official next England manager.
The German coach is expected to be the man who replaces Gareth Southgate on a full-time basis, but Redknapp told Sky Sports News on 15 October he “wanted an Englishman to manage England.”
Redknapp did admit that the “field was very small to choose from because Englishmen don’t get jobs managing in the Premier League very often now.”
Tuchel will not be the first foreign manager to take charge of the Three Lions, as Sven-Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello have previously managed the team.
