Harvey Elliott has ‘played his last game for Aston Villa’ amid Liverpool concern
Harvey Elliott has had a difficult start to life at Aston Villa since joining on loan from Liverpool during the summer transfer window.
Unai Emery‘s side endured a slow start to the season, but have turned it around in recent weeks, with Villa’s 4-0 win against Bournemouth their latest success.
However, Elliott‘s situation has resulted in growing cause for concern at Villa Park, with his recent lack of involvement becoming a major concern.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 28 October that Elliott will struggle to return to Emery’s plans given the strength of the rivals for his position.
Having now been left out of the squad for three consecutive games against Man City, Liverpool and now Bournemouth, there is a growing feeling his time may be up.

Harvey Elliott may have played his last game for Aston Villa
Mick Brown told Football Insider on 6 November that Liverpool are concerned about Elliott and his future given his reduced role in Emery’s side.
Villa have a £35million obligation to buy Elliott, which will be triggered after he plays 10 games, but after just five appearances, he has been dropped out.
That is according to former Aton Villa and Man United senior scout Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Elliott may have already played his last game for Villa.
“Aston Villa have got to make a decision about Harvey Elliott,” he told Football Insider.
“The manager and the staff will look at the situation that if he plays 10 games they have to sign him permanently, whatever that might cost, and are they going to be better off?
“If the answer to that is no, which certainly seems to be the case, then I doubt he will reach 10 games.
“That might be what we’re seeing at Villa, because if they’re saying he’s fit and he’s training with the squad, but he’s left out on matchday, there must be a reason.
“So in that case, there’s a chance he has played his last game for Aston Villa.

“It would be a shame if that was the case, because he’s a talented player and there were high hopes for him, but if he’s not clicking then that might be that.
“The manager clearly doesn’t trust him, so as I said, they’re going to have to make a decision.”
Meanwhile, former Everton CEO Keith Wyness told Football Insider that Liverpool regret letting Elliott leave and believe he could still be a part of their squad.
Jadon Sancho facing similar concerns to Elliott at Villa Park
Football Insider revealed on 28 October that Elliott could return to Liverpool in January as a result of his lack of playing time, despite that obligation to buy clause.
However, he is not the only player who has struggled since joining Villa on loan, as Jadon Sancho has failed to make an impact since moving from Man United.
Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa will only sign Sancho on a permanent basis if he hits the ground running at the club, with that deal now unlikely.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed that Sancho is unlikely return to Man United at any stage in the near future and is expected to see out the season at his loan club.
The lack of break clause in his contract means he will have to see out the season, raising concerns about his playing time and status in Emery’s side.
