‘Harvey Elliott is gone, massive shame’ – fans react to confirmed Liverpool news

Harvey Elliott’s recent interview has sparked speculation among Liverpool fans that he may be set to leave the club this summer.

Elliott has endured a frustrating season under Arne Slot, making just two Premier League starts in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign.

His limited game time has fuelled talk about his future, with plenty of clubs reportedly interested in securing his signature.

Football Insider has revealed exclusively that Elliott is likely to join a Serie A club if he departs this summer, with the possibility of an exit becoming increasingly likely.

Elliott has already turned down a move to Nottingham Forest this summer, as he carefully considers his next steps.

Harvey Elliott doesn’t want to continue ‘wasting years’ after Liverpool axe

Elliott sparked speculation about his future in a recent interview with Nathan Salt of the Daily Mail. When asked about a possible departure from Liverpool, Elliott was clear about the need for an honest conversation.

“It’s just a situation that me and the team on my behalf have to have a conversation about” he said.

The 22-year-old also revealed his frustration at the prospect of wasting valuable time in his career. “I don’t really want to be wasting years of my career, because it’s a short career.”

Despite his love for the club, fans, and teammates, he stressed that his priority is making the right career decision. “Nothing makes me want to leave. I love the club, I love the fans, the team. I support them as well. But as I said, most importantly, it’s about what’s best for my career. I just need to make that decision.”

Currently with England’s Under-21 squad at the European Championship in Slovakia, his future at Liverpool remains uncertain.

Football Insider revealed on 4 April revealed that Liverpool would demand a £50 million fee for Elliott, with Wolves and several Serie A clubs reportedly interested.

Liverpool fans brace for Harvey Elliott sale amid Florian Wirtz pursuit

Liverpool’s pursuit of Florian Wirtz has only added to the uncertainty surrounding Elliott’s place at Anfield. The German playmaker is expected to fill the creative role that Elliott currently occupies.

Football Insider revealed the Reds have already had a second bid for German rejected, but Liverpool remain confident about sealing a deal for Wirtz.

With a high-profile signing on the horizon, the exit door appears open for Elliott, and his recent comments suggest he’s ready to move on.

Liverpool supporters seem resigned to his departure, with many already bidding him farewell. One fan commented: “He’s absolutely right as well. And if Wirtz signs then he’ll definitely have to leave.” Another added: “Makes no sense to keep him with Wirtz taking his role in the squad.”
