Harvey Elliott sends emotional one-word reply to Cody Gakpo at Liverpool

It has been something of a difficult spell for the winger under Arne Slot this season, with the 21-year-old finding game time hard to come by.

Despite that it seems the former Fulham prospect is certainly in no rush to part company with at least one of his current teammates.

Arne Slot selling Harvey Elliott would be Liverpool risk

Football Insider Verdict

Sanctioning an exit for Elliott in the summer would feel like something of a gamble for Slot’s side.

The young winger has still made a big impact for Liverpool at times when he has come off the bench this season, so losing his contributions would be a blow.

It could also come back to haunt them if he joins a rival, and given he is contracted to the club until summer 2027, they are not in a position where they have to sell him at the end of the season to get a fee.
