Harvey Elliott sends heartfelt message to Liverpool ace as transfer rumours continue

Liverpool ace Harvey Elliott has shown his affection for one teammate amid the rumours around his future at Anfield.

While the season as a whole was a successful one for Arne Slot‘s side as they claimed the Premier League title, it was a more difficult one for the winger from a personal perspective.

The 22-year-old found game time harder to come by than he has in the past, as he made just two league starts across the course of the campaign.

As a result, questions have emerged over his future, with the player himself admitting he does not want to spend his best years sat on the bench.

It is understood that Elliott has already turned down a move to Nottingham Forest in the transfer window, and other exit routes are likely to emerge.

Indeed, Football Insider understands that Elliott could leave Liverpool for a Serie A club in the summer transfer window.

Harvey Elliott sends Tyler Morton message

Amid that speculation around his future, the winger has been able to enjoy something of a welcome distraction on the pitch recently.

On Thursday (12 June), Elliott started and scored for England Under-21s in a 3-1 win over Czechia at the start of their Euro 2025 campaign.

That was a success he was able to share with his Liverpool teammate Tyler Morton, who came off the bench late on in that match.

The day after the game, Elliott showed his affection to his fellow Reds player, posting a picture of the pair embracing at full time on his Instagram story.

The Liverool star then tagged Morton in the post, and simply added a loveheart emoji as they celebrated that win.

Football Insider Verdict

It would be a shame to see Elliott move on this summer, given the promise he showed under Jurgen Klopp, and some of the memorable moments he has delivered for the club.

Ultimately though, that also shows he is too good a player to not be featuring on a weekly basis, and since it is going to be difficult for him to do that at Liverpool, a move feels best for him.

It is also worth noting that Morton has also been out of the picture under Slot this season, albeit he has not been helped by injury issues.

With that in mind, the midfielder could also benefit from a move away from Liverpool this summer in order to get some much-needed game time under his belt to aid his development.
