'He hates footballers' - Joey Barton fires back at Simon Jordan in war of words
By John Reid
Joey Barton has responded to Simon Jordan as their own-going feud continues.
The former Rangers player was described as a ‘bang average player’ and a ‘buffoon’ by Jordan on the Alan Brazil Breakfast Show on talkSPORT last week.
Today, Barton responded in kind, describing Jordan as a ‘failed footballer’ who ‘hates footballers’ that ‘doesn’t know an awful lot about the game’.
He also claimed there were a lot of things going on in his personal life that “he should be very, very wary of”.

Simon Jordan has been out of the game since resigning as Crystal Palace chairman in 2010.
Both men are known for being opinionated, so the feud between the pair could well continue.
Barton has been using his free time recently to get into a spat with Celtic fans on twitter, who he claims are ‘obsessed‘ with him.
Barton’s time at Rangers last season was a short one, after a poor performance in the 5-1 defeat to Celtic at Celtic Park, he was suspended for three weeks following a training ground incident with Andy Halliday. His contract was then terminated in November, and he returned to Burnley.
