Hazard reacts on Twitter to Tottenham win v Middlesbrough

By Harvey Byrne

Former Tottenham midfielder Micky Hazard was full of delight after the north London club ran out 1-0 winners over Middlesbrough on Saturday evening.

It was a tough match for Spurs and they needed a penalty from Harry Kane to breakdown a highly defensive Boro outfit.

However, most associated with Tottenham would take all three points by any means as they remain in the race for the Premier League title.

Hazard was no different and the former Chelsea and Spurs player shared that he would “take that” on his personal Twitter account after the match.

League leaders Chelsea also won on Saturday against Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal, meaning that the nine-point gap remains between first and second.

However, Tottenham have went three points clear of the third placed Gunners in the table now and they are still well in the race for the title with 14 matches left in the season.

Spurs’ next fixture will see them travel to Anfield to face Jurgen Klopp’s fourth place Liverpool team, who are currently in disastrous form.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte’s men face an equally tough trip to Burnley next, who are in third place in the home form league table and incredibly tough to beat at Turf Moor.
