‘He can’t stand it’, ‘Simon is spot on’ – Fans tear into Graeme Souness after heated clash with Simon Jordan on Man United-Liverpool

Fans have blasted Graeme Souness for his “bitter” clash with Simon Jordan when debating Man United’s draw against Liverpool on Sunday (17 December).

The 0-0 draw secured the Red Devils a point at Anfield – a result that United boss Erik ten Hag would have been much happier with than Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool peppered Andre Onana’s goal with 34 shots compared to United’s 6 but failed to possess the cutting edge to score to get three points and return to the summit of the Premier League table.

On talkSPORT, Souness admitted his former side did not take their chances but was adamant they should escape criticism.

Jordan strongly disagreed and praised Man United for adhering to their game plan and slammed Liverpool for not putting them to the sword and securing the victory.

Fans have taken to social media in support of Jordan while blasting “fossil” Souness for his questionable take.

This supporter accused Souness of being hypocritical and suggested his opinion was based on bias.

Even this fan, who seemingly never backs Jordan’s views, said he was correct.

This fan was very amused by Jordan’s humbling of Souness.

Some fans were adamant that Jordan got under the former Liverpool captain’s skin.

This fan felt that Souness was still not over the fact the Reds failed to get three points against the struggling United.

One supporter was not too shocked by Souness’ reaction and claimed he couldn’t stand that Liverpool did not win.

This supporter hailed Jordan for talking sense and was baffled by how much criticism he faces.
