Michael Brown has claimed Lucas Moura is facing the axe as Gareth Bale returns to full fitness at Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Spurs midfielder has suggested that the Brazilian winger knows his place in the side is under threat.
The 28-year-old has started four of Tottenham’s six Premier League games this season, including Monday’s 1-0 win over Burnley.

Meanwhile, Bale made just his second start and third appearance since returning to Spurs against Royal Antwerp on Thursday evening.
Brown has suggested that Lucas knows his opportunities will be limited as Bale builds up his fitness and has claimed that the likes of Tanguy Ndombele will also have to fight to keep their spots in the side.
Asked if he thought the Brazilian winger was facing the axe in the league, Brown told Football Insider: “He knows it’s coming but all of them have got to be aware of Gareth Bale and what he is.
“Tanguy Ndombele in that advanced role as well. There’s many ways that he could change it round but defensively as well, you’ve sort of said it’s where they needed to get better.
“To get a clean sheet at Burnley, I think that will have pleased him.”
Lucas has started six times in 11 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions this season.
As well as Bale, he has the likes of Erik Lamela, Heung-min Son and Steven Bergwijn for competition in the wing roles.
