‘He should get the sack’ – Celtic fans tear into Brendan Rodgers after ‘baffling’ twist

Celtic fans are losing faith in Brendan Rodgers after his “baffling” post-match comments in the wake of defeat against Kilmarnock on Sunday (10 December).

The Hoops were victim to a stunning comeback against the Killies with Nat Phillips’s own goal and Matthew Kennedy’s late winner confirming Celtic’s first league defeat of the season with the 2-1 loss.

They were wasteful in the first half and Derek McInnes’ men capitalised and pushed Rodgers to the edge in the second half to secure the win, leaving Rangers just five points behind them with a game in hand.

After the clash at Rugby Park, Rodgers was passive in his post-match interview and fans felt his attitude do not reflected the significance of the poor display.

They have taken to social media to hound out the boss, and some are adamant that the 50-year-old is not up for the job.

This supporter was not impressed with his candour in the interview.

One fan warned Rodgers that he needs to fix up soon.

This supporter predicted a “toxic” atmosphere at Celtic Park in their midweek Champions League game against Feyenoord (13 December) and claimed the boss had come back to hurt the club.

Some fans called for him to get the sack after the display.

One fan felt that Rodgers is struggling psychologically with the job considering his reaction to the Killies’ win.

This fan spotted the boss’ lack of commitment to discussing potential January signings and slammed him for a poor summer window.

One fan was let down that he did not look more upset in the wake of such a defeat.

One supporter feels that Rodgers is clueless and can’t go on in the dugout.
