Hearts fans demand Scotland call up ‘absolute warrior’ after his ‘outstanding’ performance vs Hibs
Hearts boosted their Scottish Premiership title ambitions on Tuesday with a vital 1-0 victory over Hibs in the Edinburgh derby.
After the Jambos’ 1-0 defeat to St Mirren last week, it was vital that Derek McInnes’ side bounced back at Tynecastle.
While the quality in front of goal was lacking for both sides, Tomas Magnusson would pop up with a late goal to secure the three points for the Jam Tarts.
It was the perfect revenge for Hearts, who had lost the last Edinburgh derby 3-2 in late 2025.
Now, with the Jambos six points clear of Rangers and Celtic before their ties on Wednesday, the Tynecastle faithful have been quick to praise Harry Milne for his performance against Hibs.
Hearts fans demand Scotland call-up for Harry Milne after performance vs Hibs
Milne has been a crucial player for Hearts as they look to win the Scottish Premiership title.
The 29-year-old left-back has played in all but two of the Jambos’ league matches this season, and has rarely put a foot wrong.
In the Edinburgh derby on Tuesday, he stepped up again for McInnes’ side, providing the assist for Magnusson in an excellent performance.
Now, after being awarded the man-of-the-match for the display, many Hearts fans were in awe of how their full-back performed against Hibs.
Was solid throughout, tried to drive the team forward in the second half, and the assist! Well deserved. HHGH

Many Hearts supporters are now also calling on Steve Clarke to call up Milne for the 2026 World Cup as he continues to impress in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Outstanding last night. Certainly should be getting a chance with Scotland.

Left‑back is definitely one of Scotland’s strongest positions, but surely it’s worth giving Harry Milne a look in the upcoming friendlies. He’s been the league’s standout player by a mile this season.

How good was Milne vs Hibs?
According to Fotmob on 11 February, Milne was the best player on the pitch at Tynecastle.
On top of his assist, the left-back completed two dribbles, created one chance, performed six clearances and six recoveries.
With results vital at this stage of the campaign, Milne ensured he stepped up and did exactly what was required to get three points.
| Harry Milne’s stats vs Hibs | |
| Minutes | 90 |
| Assists | 1 |
| Chances created | 1 |
| Dribbles completed | 2 |
| Clearances | 6 |
| Recoveries | 6 |
| Tackles | 2 |
Now, the task for the Hearts man will be to ensure these performance levels don’t drop as the campaign edges closer to its conclusion.
If he can continue in his current vein of form, there is absolutely no reason why he can’t be part of Clarke’s Scotland squad in the summer, ready for the 2026 World Cup.
