Frank McAvennie fears Celtic may have to deal with an in-form Alfredo Morelos on Saturday after the Rangers striker ended his barren run of form in front of goal.
The former Hoops and St Mirren forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed Saints manager Jim Goodwin will be “raging” with Joe Shaughnessy after his attempted pass-back handed Morelos the Gers their second in a 2-0 win in Paisley.
It was the 24-year-old’s first league goal since October and his eighth goal in 25 appearances across all competitions this season.

Speaking after the win, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard hailed the performance of the Colombian and claimed the goal will have done his confidence “the world of good.”
Morelos will now be fancied to start when the Light Blues welcome Celtic to Ibrox on Saturday.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the striker’s form going into the Old Firm, McAvennie said: “Morelos got his goal but I could have scored that.
“What was that pass back from St Mirren? Jim will be raging with that.
“No matter what you think of Morelos, he is a goalscorer. If you give him a chance like that he will take it.
“He is a great player and we laugh about him because he has not scored many of late but he has been their talisman in recent seasons. I just hope he has an off day on Saturday.”
