'He's a huge name' - Exclusive: Danny Mills suggests multiple West Brom signings on cards

Danny Mills has suggested that Slaven Bilic is preparing to bring in a number of new signings to West Brom ahead of the start of the new Championship season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former England defender said that he expected to see more names brought through the door at the Hawthorns due to the calibre and reputation of the manager.

Bilic was appointed as the Baggies’ boss earlier in the summer, the former West Ham manager taking over from temporary appointment James Shan, with four permanent and one loan signing to add to his squad.

However, Mills suggests that the Croatian boss has the pulling power to attract quality players to West Brom and expects there to be a couple of new names through the doors before the end of the transfer window.

Speaking about Bilic, Mills told Football Insider: “He’s a huge name, isn’t he? You would assume because of that he could use his contacts and attract players because of who he is.

“You’re just wondering if they are lining all these exits up, clearing the decks, ready to bring two or three players in over this next week.

“With the season starting next weekend, you are leaving it very, very late to bed these players into the team.”

West Brom have seen a number of senior stars leave the Hawthorns this summer, Craig Dawson and Jay Rodriguez both leaving for the Premier League while the likes of James Morrison and Gareth Barry have both become free agents at the end of their contracts.

In other West Brom news, Noel Whelan claims that the club have lost some of their fear factor at the Hawthorns due to summer developments.
