'He's A Player' - Exclusive: Mills wowed by Leeds summer signing
Danny Mills has heaped praise on Leeds United winger Raphinha after his impressive start to life in England.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley, the former Whites and England full-back outlined the Brazilian’s desire to always be on the ball as an “absolutely vital” trait that he needs to be a success under Marcelo Bielsa.
The 23-year-old made his third consecutive start for the Yorkshire giants in their 3-1 loss to Chelsea on Saturday.
Leeds signed the winger from French side Rennes for a reported £17million fee in October but he had to wait over a month for a full debut.
Raphinha scored his first goal for the club in their 1-0 win over Everton at the end of November with a long-distance strike.
Asked by Football Insider what he made of Raphinha’s start to life in a Leeds shirt, Mills said: “He’s undoubtedly a player with quality and he’s been brought in for that reason.

“It was great for him to get off the mark, to get that goal against Everton.
“He looks sharp, he looks bright, he wants the ball. That’s absolutely vital in Marcelo Bielsa’s system. You’ve got to want the ball and demand the ball as often as possible.”
Asked about life at Elland Road, Raphinha told ESPN Brasil: “I was treated very well, I felt the same affection that I felt at Rennes, I felt that they wanted me here. It was very rewarding.
“Today I’m happy at Leeds, they showed me the club’s project, I liked it, I’m an athlete that always wants to win, I was very happy with that.”
