‘He’s coming home’ – Tottenham fans say the same thing about Mauricio Pochettino returning as manager
Thomas Frank was sacked as Tottenham manager on Wednesday, with rumours already rife on who will replace the Dane.
Frank has left Spurs in a mess, with the North London club just five points above the relegation zone after their 2-1 defeat to Newcastle.
As a result, whoever comes will be straight into a relegation battle with 12 matches to go this season.
Oliver Glasner was the favourite for the Tottenham manager role upon Frank’s sacking on Wednesday.
However, Mauricio Pochettino is increasingly linked with the post, with Spurs fans keen to see the US National Team manager take the job.
The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today.

Tottenham fans want Mauricio Pochettino to replace Thomas Frank
Pochettino has been heavily linked with Tottenham in recent weeks despite preparing the US for their upcoming World Cup in the summer.
The Independent on 11 February revealed that Spurs view Pochettino as the ideal candidate to take over and may look to appoint an interim manager until the summer as they look to appoint their coach.
As a result, many Tottenham fans are incredibly excited about this news, with the manager previously having a highly successful spell at the North London club between 2014 and 2019.
I want Pochettino back 🤍🥹

What has Pochettino said about returning to the Premier League?
Recently, Pochettino has not ruled out a return to the Premier League despite his responsibilities with the US National Team.
The 53-year-old has held three different roles in the English top-flight, with his most recent being at Chelsea before he departed in 2024.
Nevertheless, with his contract set to be up after the 2026 World Cup, there could be an opportunity for a Premier League club to make a move, something Spurs may have their eye on.
As a result, Pochettino was asked about whether he would return to the Premier League on 6 December 2025 by ESPN.

Here, he refused to rule this possibility out, while reiterating that his current focus is on the US National Team.
“The Premier League is the best in the world. Of course I miss it. I am so happy in the USA, but I am always thinking about returning one day,” he said. “It is the most competitive league, and of course I would love to come back again.”
Now, it remains to be seen if Tottenham will pursue Pochettino over the coming weeks and months or if they will focus on another candidate to help restore their position in the top-flight.
