Leeds United staff are united in hailing in the “insane” work ethic and attention to detail of Marcelo Bielsa.
That is according to ex-United midfielder Michael Brown, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Argentine’s managerial methods.
He pointed out that United employees – players and coaches – have universally told him how Bielsa’s knowledge and coaching skills are “amazing, really”.
The insight into the unorthodox manager came ahead of tonight’s Championship clash against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
“I think the impact is there for all to see, he’s obviously a wonderful coach,” Brown told Football Insider. “The attention to detail around the training ground and things he’s put in place regarding what he thinks is normality, other people might think it’s a little bit overkill but for him it’s literally, ‘that’s how we do it, that’s how we run it, that’s what I expect from you’.
“The level of intensity is obviously very high but the detail, speaking to all the staff around him, I think that’s where you get a different take of what people are like – (somewhere else) they might say the players are doing alright but the manager, ‘he’s good at that, he’s not good at that, can’t believe he does that, he gets away with that one’.
“All the staff generally at Leeds, the feel for him (Bielsa) is he’s insane, he’s very knowledgeable, yes he’s intense but the level of detail that he gives and is able to deliver to the players on the training ground, is amazing really.”
Leeds have recently got back to winning ways after a dreadful post-Christmas run threatened to destroy their hopes of automatic promotion.
Bielsa’s side, who are second in the table after playing one less match than leaders West Brom, have taken seven points out of the last nine.
In other Leeds United news, it has been REVEALED that the club agreed sensational £19million deal with Premier League club just a few weeks ago.
