‘He’s so bad’ – Arsenal fans rip into starter who had ‘terrible attitude’ vs Crystal Palace
Arsenal fans have slammed Eberechi Eze after he was ineffective against his former club in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
Arsenal snapped Eze up from Palace for a fee of around £60million in the summer after numerous years of stellar performances for the South London side.
Eze has been key to Mikel Arteta’s plans this season since his arrival, with a hat-trick against rivals Tottenham last month to prove his quality even further.
He was trusted to start by the Gunners boss in attacking midfield against his old club on Tuesday, but struggled to make an impact as the game went to penalties after a 1-1 draw.
It was a stark contrast to when the two sides first met this season in October, when he grabbed the only goal of the game in a 1-0 home win for the league leaders.

Eze was poor against Palace as Arsenal limped through
It took a strong arm from Kepa Arrizabalaga to save Maxence Lacroix’s penalty and send Arsenal to the Carabao Cup semi-finals, after his earlier own goal had been cancelled out by a late Marc Guehi leveller.
Arteta rotated his starting eleven, with Eze one of those to come in to the team, but all he could do was extend his run of games without scoring to six.
The 27-year-old failed to test Walter Benitez all evening, while he only took three touches in Palace’s penalty area and did not complete a successful dribble from the two he attempted.
Eze was replaced by club captain Martin Odegaard in the 67th minute of the encounter, with many Gunners fans not happy with how he performed throughout.
Arsenal fans fumed at Eze after his bad form continued vs Palace
Arteta is facing a conundrum with Eze right now, as he tries his best to figure out where the England playmaker best fits into his team.
Odegaard’s recent return from injury has seen his minutes decrease, with the former Eagles star failing to play for more than 67 minutes in any of the Gunners’ previous six outings.
His lethargic showing against his old club on Tuesday epitomised their performance as a whole, but some Arsenal fans particularly pointed out how poor they felt Eze had played.
Taking to X, one fan said: “The more I watch Eze, I see more why he was released. (He has a) terrible attitude.“
Another said: “Eze is a Premier League vet doing absolutely nothing in this team every week. He’s so bad, he’s being pitied like academy graduates.”
While one added: “Everything about Ebe Eze annoys me,” and another supporter said: “I can see why Hale End released Eze.”
