Heung-Min Son sends ‘tough’ message to Tottenham fans after latest
Tottenham captain Heung-Min Son took to social media to celebrate a much-needed three points at a “tough place” after their 2-0 Premier League win over Brentford on Sunday (February 2).
The 32-year-old played the full 90 minutes and set up Pape Sarr’s late goal, helping Ange Postecoglou’s struggling side climb to 14th in the Premier League.
Vitaly Janelt’s 29th-minute goal opened the scoring for Tottenham, with the midfielder nodding past Hakon Rafn Valdimarsson in the Brentford goal from a Son corner.
Sarr doubled Spurs’ lead and secured the win in the 87th minute, latching on to Son’s delicate pass before scoring with a cheeky finish.
Tottenham’s win over Brentford comes after Football Insider revealed (January 27) that Postecoglu isn’t currently in any danger of being sacked at Spurs.

The South Korea international has been key for Spurs throughout their stuttering season, starting 27 of his 10 games across all competitions, scoring 10 goals, and providing eight assists in his 2219 minutes of action.
Son has come under fire from some Tottenham fans despite his decent run of form in their struggling side, suggesting his time at the club is up.
The veteran forward took to Instagram to celebrate the win over Brentford, saying: “Tough place to play against a great team. Three points, clean sheet. Everything we wanted. All focus now on the semi final!!”

Spurs travel north to Anfield for their League Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool on Thursday (February 6), currently 1-0 on aggregate.
Postecoglu’s attention will then turn to the FA Cup as they prepare for a trip against Unai Emery’s impressive Aston Villa.
