‘His teammates don’t like him’ – Fans react to Ben White and Zinchenko bust-up as new Arsenal footage emerges
Rival fans have slammed Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko for their post-match bust-up after Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening (30 January).
The Gunners secured three points at the City Ground in the 2-1 win thanks to second-half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.
However, the defensive pair were spotted in a heated altercation after the full-time whistle and had to be physically separated by members of the coaching staff.
Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed after the game that the dispute was sparked because Arsenal conceded a poorly defended goal late in the game, scored by Taiwo Awoniyi.
In the 89th minute, Zinchenko failed to win possession from Forest right-back Gonzalo Montiel, who then headed it to Awoniyi.
The striker then twisted away from White in the box before prodding home the consolation goal.
Arteta admitted that he “loved” the passion the duo showed and was pleased with the fact that they demand high standards from each other.
However, rival fans were quick to criticise White and Zinchenko for the feud, with many suggesting that it showed a poor attitude among the players.
They have taken to social media to react to the row, and some believe that they should both lose their spot in the starting line-up due to their attitude.
