'His Time Is Up' - Exclusive: Spurs star tipped to quit by pundit after Instagram hint
Dele Alli’s time at Tottenham Hotspur is up after his Instagram post following their 1-1 draw with Fulham.
That is the view of ex-England striker Kevin Phillips, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the 24-year-old was left on the bench against the Cottagers.
Alli took to Instagram just half-an-hour after the game to post a picture on his story of himself looking visibly unimpressed.
Manager Jose Mourinho had hinted during the week the England international was set to play a part against Aston Villa before Fulham replaced Villa as Spurs’ opponents after a coronavirus outbreak at the Midlands giants.
However, Dele remained on the bench despite Tottenham chasing the game after Fulham equalised in the 74th minute.
Asked by Football Insider what the latest snub from Mourinho and the player’s Instagram hint means for his future, Phillips said: “His time is up.

“As much as he loves Tottenham, Mourinho is not going anywhere quick. He is doing good things there. He is turning Spurs into a title-challenging side.
“I did not get carried away with Dele Alli’s performance against Marine – he should be shining against them. It did not surprise me that he played well.
“I think his time at Spurs is over, he cannot be going into training excited. He must be unhappy going in because even if he does not train well, it is unlikely he will be involved.
“Alli needs to be playing week in, week out. Unfortunately, his time at the club is coming to an end.”
Dele has played just 29 minutes of Premier League action since being substituted at half-time in their opening game with Everton.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano claims his former manager and new PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign Dele on loan this month.
