‘Horrible to see’, ‘It’s hard to see a way back’ – Rangers fans destroy Cyriel Dessers after display

Rangers fans have destroyed Cyriel Dessers’ “diabolical” display in their 2-0 win over St Mirren on Sunday (3 December).

The Gers, still unbeaten under Philippe Clement, dispatched the fourth-place Buddies thanks to a clinical brace from top-scorer Adballah Sima, with Todd Cantwell earning two assists.

Dessers started at Ibrox having been dropped for the last two games but failed to have a meaningful impact on the clash and was hauled off just after the hour mark for Danilo.

While his build-up play was crucial for Sima’s opener, he was flagged well offside in the first half and failed to convert a chance despite the lingering Cantwell occupying plenty of space next to him.

The Dutchman has been a source of frustration in the terraces of Ibrox all season and fans have taken to social media to once again vent their anger at the misfiring forward.

This supporter has little faith that Dessers is the answer for Rangers.

One fan slammed the 28-year-old for his inability to find the net.

This fan was very happy to see Dessers removed from play but was annoyed that he was in the starting line-up at all.

This supporter admitted that his work for the first goal was admirable, but only by his ridiculously low standards.

One fan is unbothered if the club makes a loss on Dessers and just wants him away from Glasgow.

This fan just does not feel that Dessers is Rangers material.

Another fan questioned anyone who claimed Dessers played well and is convinced the fanbase’s expectations have dropped too low.

One fan listed everything Dessers for wrong against St Mirren.
