Celtic fans react on Twitter to reports Murty has quit Rangers
Celtic fans have been giving their verdict on social media to reports that Graeme Murty has resigned as Rangers manager.
Broadcaster STV Sport claim that the Englishman’s tenure at Ibrox had come to an end following the Gers’ 5-0 loss to the Hoops on Sunday.
Most Hoops fans seem to feel bad for Murty, who was thrown into a difficult situation after the departure of Perdo Caixinha, and was appointed boss until the end of the season after a pursuit of Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes ended in failure.
Here are some of the best reactions from Hoops fans to Murty’s decision to quit:
Terrible the way he's been treated. Seems like a nice guy.

Steven Gerrard should be watching how this lot treated their last 4 managers, the horrific threats and name calling by their fans. They couldn't spell respect or dignity. Murty has been treated like a dog and so will the next poor bugger that doesn't give them instant success.

As a Celtic fan he really was thrown to the wolves, the Rangers Board should be ashamed how they have treated Murty.
All the best to him.

Murty had put together a decent run of results until the Old Firm game in March, which was billed as a title decider, but saw the Hoops win 3-2 with 10 men in a result which Murty and his players never recovered from.
The Gers were then tore apart in the next two clashes against the Hoops, losing 4-0 and 5-0, so it is no surprise that the decision has come that Murty has quit the Ibrox hot-seat.

All eyes will now turn to who the Hoops’ biggest rivals appoint next, in their aim to try and slow down the Hoops juggernaut which seems to be rapidly set for ’10 in a row’.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops should get rid of this one player
