How Man United could line up once Benjamin Sesko seals £74m switch
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could have a new look starting XI for the beginning of the season.
The Red Devils are closing in on a £74million deal to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who has been the subject of transfer interest all summer.
Sesko was an option for Arsenal earlier in the window, before they signed Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres and Newcastle also wanted the RB Leipzig striker to replace Alexander Isak.
The 22-year-old will slot straight into Amorim’s XI which will also include their other summer arrivals.
Sesko to spearhead new look front three

When Amorim became Man United manager last November the Portuguese manager switched the formation to a 3-4-3.
Sesko will lead the line with fellow new signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha alongside him, in what looks a dangerous front three.
Influential captain Bruno Fernandes will orchestrate from midfield alongside the defensive minded Casemiro.
The pair may face competition by Fermin Lopez, who is expected to join from Barcelona, whilst 20-year-old Kobbie Mainoo will also be fighting for a place in the team.
The full-back’s provide the width in this formation, with 20-year-old Patrick Dorgu taking the left flank
Dorgu was an impressive performer against West Ham in the Premier League summer series.
Amorim still wants a goalkeeper to replace Andre Onana, but the 29-year-old will remain the number one until a replacement has been signed.

Amorim still has doubts over key stars

Football Insider Verdict
Amorim still has decisions to make in his line-up before the opening weekend clash at Old Trafford with Arsenal, with expectation now that Sesko will be available to partake in the game.
Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount, and Mainoo are all options in the middle the park, whilst Luke Shaw could come into the left side of defence.
Lisandro Martinez is still a long-term absentee meaning Harry Maguire will continue to play an important role in the back three.
There is now no place in the line-up for strikers Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee, with the former likely to leave the club for around £30million.

In goal, Amorim is targeting Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez or PSG shot stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
There are doubts whether Onana will be ready for Arsenal, with number two Altay Bayindir having to step in between the sticks during pre-season.
Man United have had a productive pre-season, winning the Premier League Summer Series and remaining undefeated.
