Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has backed team-mate Dele Alli to have a “great career” if he continues to apply himself.
The 20-year-old is regarded as an emerging star in European football and is tipped to become one of the best after already taking the Premier League by storm.
He has been a key figure for Spurs this season and has enjoyed a meteoric rise since he moved to White Hart Lane in 20115 from MK Dons.
Lloris believes that Alli is a special talent and has all the right attributes to become a great player.
“He’s got something special,” Lloris told French outlet RMC Sport. “If he keeps the game mentality that he has at present, this desire to always want to push his limits, to progress, he will make a very great career.”

Alli has flourished in a more advanced position this season in the 3-5-2 formation deployed by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The attacking midfielder has made 28 appearances across all competitions this campaign, scoring 12 goals and supplying three assists.
He has formed a great partnership with team-mate Harry Kane and the two have made Spurs a main contender for the Premier League title.
Alli is also a regular England international and will hope to improve on his record of 2 goals in 15 senior appearances for the national side.
In other Tottenham news, the club’s youngster was called up to the senior squad to train in Barcelona.
