Huijsen and Semenyo mock ‘egghead’ Kerkez footage as Bournemouth exits anticipated

Milos Kerkez has been ridiculed by his Bournemouth teammates Antoine Semenyo and Dean Huijsen, as rumours around the trio’s future continue to swirl.

The Cherries have had an impressive campaign in the Premier League, but face a battle to keep some of their star players this summer.

Andoni Iraola’s side are still in the race for European football next season, and sit just two points off a Conference League spot.

Left-back Kerkez has been one of the standout players for the south coast side, and has started every single league game for Bournemouth this season.

The Hungarian has also popped up with two goals for the Cherries, as well as boasting six assists to his name.

Bournemouth face summer raid

There have been rumours for a number of months now that Liverpool are after Kerkez, and there is a very real possibility that the full-back will make the switch to Anfield this summer.

The 21-year-old remains at Bournemouth for now however, and he gave his Cherries team-mates a laugh with a recent video.

Taking to Instagram (12 May), Kerkez posted a video which showed him doing pull-ups, with the caption: “stay ready always.”

Huijsen, who has been linked with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool saw the funny side of the post, commenting with eight laughing emojis.

Winger Semenyo, who has caught the interest of Man United, also found the post hilarious, commenting: “You don’t even do gym you egghead.”

Bournemouth must keep Iraola

Despite the fact that they have a number of players rumoured to be leaving, Bournemouth’s most important bit of business this summer concerns someone off the pitch.

Iraola has been linked with Tottenham for a good few months now, with Ange Postecoglou under pressure in North London.

However, there have been whispers that a new deal is in the offing for the Spaniard, and it will be a real coup if the Cherries are able to tie him down to a long-term contract.

Iraola has worked wonders since his arrival on the south coast, and Bournemouth have already surpassed their record points tally this season.

The 42-year-old has been widely credited for his high-pressing style of play, and looks certain to become one of the best managers about in years to come.
